Beijing Aerospace Propulsion Institute(formerly The 11th Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation) was founded in 1958, It was the first such research unit in China, who involved in liquid propellant rocket engine development. Its rocket engine series have successfully sent more than forty domestic and foreign satellites into the outer space. It is most noteworthy that its two supercryogenic H2-O2 engines are among the most ad-vanced such engines in the world. Its great contribution has made China in the top three of aerospace technology development.
¡¡¡¡¡¡We have nearly 600 employees£¬three quarters of them are engineers and senior engineers. We have one academician of China Academy of Science, 3 na-tional level outstanding experts and 7 ministry level outstanding experts and 37 experts enjoy special subsidy granted by government. We won 200 Technical Development Prizes at the ministry level and five at the national level We are authorized to grant Master's degree and Doctor's degree.
¡¡¡¡¡¡Since 1984, we started to apply aerospace techniques to develop indus-trial products. In 1991£¬we registered "Beijing Aerospace Petrochemical Tech-nology and Equipment Engineering Corporation(BSPC) as our solely owned subsi-diary. We have developed thermal engineering equipment, special pumps,special valves, petrochemical equipment, measurement and control systems, environment protection systems for petrochemical and environment protection industries. Most of our products substitute imported ones and some of them are exported to foreign counties. THM heaters, high speed pumps and safety valves are in batch production.
¡¡¡¡¡¡In 1993£¬under the authorization of National Science Committee, "Natio-nal Engineering and Technological Research Center for Special Pumps and Val-ves" was founded on the bases of our Institute. The center has complete desi-gning, testing and inspecting facilities. Our production base, locates in Beijing Economic and Technique Development Zone, enables us to deliver in time the best quality products.
¡¡¡¡¡¡Our motto is"Quality First£¬Customer First"£¬We are the first research institute in China aerospace system who got ISO 9000 certificate. We are the first class vender on SINOPEC and CNPC's vender list. Beijing Industrial and Commercial Administration Bureau granted us the title "Respect to Contract and Reputation"
